A few weeks ago, I was hosting a ‘comic book club,’ at my nearby library. The idea was to have a monthly workshop, for young people in the area who are into writing and drawing, and wish to pursue their interest in sequential art forms.
Sadly, despite much effort in promoting the event in schools and colleges, hardly anyone turned up to each workshop.
On the happy side of the coin, an emo friend of mine, who is a writer, did come along, and we found that we have a great deal in common in terms of stories and ideas for comics, so I hope that one day, we might be able to team up, and create some sort of ‘kickass’ publication, or online comic. Watch this space!
